There's nothing like free food and beer to draw a crowd, and the geniuses behind GenKC, a new networking group for young professionals in their 20s and 30s, know how to work that bait. Tonight, the group holds its kickoff happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 in the City Market. The group serves up food from Winslow's Barbecue and Bo Lings as well as Boulevard Beer and soft drinks. Local musician Casey Todd performs, too. The event is free, but registration is required so that there's enough food and drinks. For more information (and to register), see genkc.org.
